WORK TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY
For more than 20 years, BCA's mission has been to improve the quality of life in the Butner community. Our members, along with local volunteers, provide various events throughout the year to promote fellowship, entertainment, social and ecological awareness, and the history of Camp Butner. We strive to make Butner a better place to work and live. Find out how you can contribute to the BCA by serving as a member or volunteer.

LOOKING FORWARD
The long-term goal is to build onto the excellent programming that we currently provide with more quality family-friendly events and services that will further bring the local citizens together and provide a richer quality of life that many other communities already enjoy.
Future Projects Include:

Provide additional events such as Music in the Park and Art in the Park

Partner with other local organizations for Butner events

Increase and establish local and corporate sponsors for events

Promote and increase the number of volunteers needed to support current and future events

Our History
The Butner Community Association was originally formed in 1994 as the Butner Citizens Planning Ahead (BCPA) before the Town of Butner was incorporated. The BCPA organization operated for 20 years as a driving force for community involvement and provided numerous events such as the Butner Chicken Pickin', Christmas in the Park and Meet the Candidates. In 2015, the name was changed to the Butner Community Association (BCA) and the tax status evolved from a 501(c)(4) non-profit to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations to the BCA are now considered as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
Our Mission
The main focus of the BCA is to promote social involvement within the Butner area and to offer opportunities of service and programming for the benefit and advancement of the local citizens.
