The Butner Christmas Parade has been a crowd favorite for many years and stretches the entire length of Central Avenue.

About the event
The parade is always held on the first Saturday in December at 2:00 pm and includes local high school marching bands, dance groups, firetrucks from Butner and several neighboring towns, as well as large industrial trucks from Sunrock and Altec. Christmas floats from churches, civic and government organizations, as well as businesses, are positioned throughout the parade, along with classic cars, motorcycles and the Shriners Hillbillies.
